- Acquire a scratch card at SEVENTY GHANA CEDIS (GH₵70) from the designated post offices below and all Military Installations in all Garrisons:

2. Scratch gently to reveal the pin code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.
3. Log on to the recruitment portal @ http://www.gafrecruitment.com with any of the following browsers:
a. Mozilla Firefox.
b. Google Chrome.
4. Read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
5. Click on the Apply Now Tab to open the applicant authentication page.
6. Enter your card serial number, pin code and select your preferred arm of service, type of commission and clicksubmit.
7. Enter your personal details and take note of the following from pages 1 to 3:
a. Page 1; Select your desired vacancy and provide all other required data.
b. Page 2; Upload a scanned copy of your passport sized photograph of dimension (200 x 180 pixels), enter a valid e-mail address, personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456) and enter any other required data.
c. Page 3; Enter the results of only the three required core subjects on your WASSCE/SSCE results slip, that is;CORE MATHEMATICS, CORE ENGLISH AND CORE SCIENCE. Enter your WASSCE or SSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSCE results slip serial number and select a tertiary institution from the list of schools. Enter your graduatingGPA/CWA and provide all other required data. Upload only scanned copies of the following; WASSCE or SSCE Results Slip and First Degree Certificate (Degree, HND, Diploma). NB: Each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSCE Results Slip, First DegreeCertificate) to be uploaded, should not exceed 1(One) Megabyte and should be in JPEG picture format only.
8. Click on the Preview Button to see a summary page of all data provided. Read through this page carefully and click on the back button, if there are any modifications to be made.
9. Click on the submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.
10. Print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it, if you are shortlisted. However, if you lose your copy of the final report, go back to the recruitment portal, click on the Check DetailsTab, enter your unique identification number sent to you by SMS/E-Mail and order a re-print.
11. Closing Date. Closing date for submission of all online applications is 8th February, 2015.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicant should:

Be not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years by 20th April, 2015 for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by 15th April, 2015 for Short Service Commission.
Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.

Be not married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5` 6“) for males and 1.57m (5` 2“) for females. For military police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9“) and 1.70m (5`7“) for females.
Be of good character.

ARMY.
Infantry/Armour/Artillery. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognized University.
Signal Corps. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognize University/Institution in any of the following:

(iii) Physics.

3. Engineer Corps. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognized University in any of the following:
(i) Civil Engineering (Structural OR Water/Sanitation Engineer).
(ii) Electrical Engineering.
(ii) Mechanical Engineer with Building Service Capability.
4. Military Police. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:
(i) Social Sciences.
(ii) Pure Sciences.
(iii) Arts.
(iv) Administration.
5. Ordnance Service. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:
(i) Chemical Engineering.
(ii) Chemistry.
(iii) Physics.
6. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EMECorps). In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree from a recognized University/ Institution in any of the following:

NAVY.
Executive Branch. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree in any of the following from a recognized University/Institution:

(iv) Management Studies.
(v) Port and Shipment Administration.

(vii) Preference will be given to applicants with the additional certificates in the following;
(a) Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administration (ICSA) – Final Part.
(b) Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) – Level 5.
(c) Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) – Final Part.
4. Public Relations. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BFA, BSc, etc.) in any of the following from a recognized University/Institution, plus one (1) year working experience.
(i) Communication Studies.

(iii) Communication Design.
(iv) Film and Television Production.
(v) Public Relations or Journalism.

(1) Supply Branch. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have a Degree in any of the following from a recognized University or equivalent professional institution in the following:

(iii) Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) – Final Part.
(iv) Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – Final Part.

(2). Administration Branch. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a Degree in any of the following from a recognized University or equivalent professional institution in any of the following:
(i) Administration. (HR/Accts/Banking & Finance).

(iv) Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administration (ICSA) – final part.
(3). Engineering Branch.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (ARMY/NAVY/AIR FORCE)
5. Legal Service. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have the following:
(i) Barrister at Law (BL) Certificate.
(ii) Must have done Pupilage and 3 years Post Call working experience.
6. MEDICAL.
a. Health Services Administrator. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a BSc degree in Administration (Health Services option). 1 – 3 years working experience as a Health Services Administrator in a recognized health facility.
b. Health Planner. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have Masters in Public Health (Health Service Planning option). 1 – 3 years working experience as a Health Planner in a recognized health facility.
c. Biostatistics Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Health Information and at least one (1) year national service or internship in a recognized health facility. 1 – 3 years working experience as a Biostatistics Officer in a recognized health facility.
d. Health Insurance Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Administration (Health Insurance Option) / BSc degree in Actuarial Scienceand at least one (1) year national service or internship in a recognized health facility. 1 – 3 years working experience as Health Insurance Officer is required.
e. Archival Officer.In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Actuarial Science. 1 – 3 years working experience as an Archival Officer is required.
f. Biomedical Scientist. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Science or BSc degree in Biochemistry plus one (1) year post-qualification internship training. 1 – 3 years working experience as a Biomedical Scientist in a reputable medical laboratory facility is required.
g. Pharmacist. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm) from an accredited institution. Must have 1 – 3 years working experience as a Pharmacist in a recognized health facility.
h. Radiographer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Radiology or its equivalent plus one (1) year post-qualification internship training. 1 – 3 years working experience as a Radiographer in a recognized health facility is required.
i. Specialist (Medical & Dental). In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent plus a relevant post graduate qualification to the level of Membership/Fellowship of the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons (GCPS)/WACS/WACP or its equivalent from a recognized college. Must have a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council.
j. Medical Officer & Dental Surgeon. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Must have a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical & Dental Council. 1 – 3 years working experience as Medical Officer is mandatory.
k. Nursing Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc/BA degree in Nursing/Emergency Care Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning and must have completed the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 – 3 years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses & Midwives Council of Ghana.
l. Midwifery Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution of higher learning and have completed the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 – 3 years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses & midwives Council of Ghana.
m. Specialised Nurses. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have certificate in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, ENT, Peri-operative, Emergency Care and Ophthalmic Nursing. 1 – 3 years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses and Midwives council of Ghana
n. Nursing Tutor. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MPhil in Nursing or MSc in Nursing/Midwifery with postgraduate certificate in Education. Must have registered with the Nurses & Midwives Council of Ghana. Must have 1 – 3 years teaching experience in a Nursing Training College.
Chaplaincy.
a. Catholic/Anglican/Methodist/Presbyterian/SDA Chaplain. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
(1) Must have done a minimum of four (4) years post ordination service in the pastoral
field and must be a holder of a Licentiate or Diploma in Theology from a recognized
Theological Seminary or College.
(2) Must be recommended by Head of Church who must be prepared to release him/her
to the Ghana Armed Forces.
(3) Must not be more than 30 years of age at time of enlistment.
Band. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have a Degree or Diploma in
Music from a recognized University/Institution in the following:
a. Staff – Reading.
b. Conducting.
c. Orchestrating.
d. Wind Instruments.
